This is the second annual review of the integration requirements for Medicare Advantage dual eligible special needs plans (D-SNPs) completed for the Maryland Department of Health. The goal of D-SNP integration, which became effective in calendar year (CY) 2021, is to help improve coordination of care transitions for individuals who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. On April 10, 2024, Hilltop Deputy Director Alice Middleton was one of three speakers at a session of the University of Baltimore-sponsored Rosenberg Dialogue Series, titled Fixing Unintended Pandemic Medicaid Policy Consequences: Lessons Learned and Insurance Coverage Implications for Recipients.
